Advancing Implementation Science Speaker Series: NCI Updates and Priorities

Join NC TraCS and Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center for the launch of their Implementation Science Speaker Series. Gila Neta, PhD, MPP, Program Officer in Implementation Science in the Office of the Director in the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS) at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), will be discussing NCI directions and priorities for advancing implementation science in cancer prevention and control.

Dr. Neta will share the priorities set forth at NCI’s inaugural Implementation Science Consortium in Cancer (ISCC) meeting, address current gaps and challenges in the field of implementation science, and describe currently available NCI resources.  She will provide an overview of NIH funding opportunities at the intersection of implementation science and cancer research, including DIRH program announcements and recent Cancer Moonshot initiatives.

The presentation will be held on Friday, November 22from 1:00 to 2:00pm in the Michael Hooker Research Center (Room 0001) in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, with refreshments and networking immediately following.
