The Department of Health Policy and Management (http://sph.unc.edu/hpm/), Gillings School of Global Public Health (http://sph.unc.edu/), University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), seeks candidates for up to two full-time tenured/tenure-track faculty positions in decision science, organization and implementation science, or health policy and politics. Competitive candidates should be eligible for appointment at the advanced-Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The mission of the Department of Health Policy and Management (HPM) is to improve health for all by creating and translating knowledge into policy and practice and educating current and future health leaders, managers, policymakers, practitioners, and researchers. HPM is an interdisciplinary department, and many faculty are investigators in the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center (https://unclineberger.org/) and other UNC research centers and programs, including the Sheps Center for Health Services Research (http://www.shepscenter.unc.edu/), the Center for Pharmacoepidemiology (http://pharmacoepi.unc.edu/), and the North Carolina Translational and Clinical Sciences Institute (https://tracs.unc.edu/). Collaborations are also encouraged with other research institutions such as RTI International (https://www.rti.org/), Duke University, and NC State University.

 Qualifications

The applicant must have a PhD (or similar doctoral-level degree); a primary research focus on decision science, organization and implementation science, or health policy and politics; strong research skills and publication record in peer-reviewed journals; proven record of grant-funded scholarship; and experience in teaching and advising graduate and/or undergraduate students.
