Benjamin Djulbegovic is a Distinguished Professor and Professor of Medicine and Oncology at the University of South Florida and H Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute. He also serves as the Associate Dean for Evidence-based Medicine & Comparative Effectiveness Research at the USF.
Dr. Djulbegovic’s main academic and research interest lies in attempts to optimize clinical research and practice of medicine by understanding both the nature of medical evidence and decision-making. The role of uncertainty and rationality in science and clinical medicine has been one of the common themes across his work, particularly evident on his analysis of equipoise and the role of regret.
As of May of 2016, he has published more than 300 papers in peer-review journals, 170 abstracts and two books. His work has been funded both by federal and private entities.
