Blogging as a Vessel for Knowledge Translation: Turning Numbers Into Narrative

In this webinar, as part of the KT Connects webinar series, the presenter, Natasha Kolida, introduced creative media and knowledge translation for research-to-practice or educational purposes. Specifically, the webinar focused on the medium of blogging and how to make scholarly work accessible to the general population and/or a target population using this creative outlet. Key topics included dismantling the knowledge translation process, building a narrative, understanding language and purpose, logistics, and ethics.

Learning Objectives:

• Examine blogging as a creative method for making scholarly work more accessible
• Explore the impact of blogging as a research dissemination activity
• Consider the value and complexity of narrative in relation to research implementation

The intended audience for this webinar included researchers and health professionals, and focused on mental health and mental illness for examples.
