Design-Based Implementation Research Workshop
Date(s): May 8-9, 2018 Location: Greensboro, NC
The University of North Carolina at Greensboro School of Education is hosting a two-day workshop on Design-Based Implementation Research (DBIR). DBIR is a research methodology that supports research + practice partnerships in collaborative design and implementation research. This workshop will introduce key tools and practices of DBIR and aims to support individuals and teams interested in strengthening their partnerships, developing research questions, gaining strategies for collaborative design, and learning about how to develop proposals for, engage in, and write about DBIR research projects.
The workshop is designed for both individual researchers and practitioners in K-12, higher education, and informal settings, as well as for teams that comprise both researchers and practitioners from these settings. Teams may be composed of participants from either newly forming or mature research-practice partnerships. The workshop is designed to engage participants with various levels of familiarity with DBIR.
