PURPOSE

Co-hosted by the Jordan Institute for Families at the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Social Work, the UNC Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute, and the National Implementation Research Network (NIRN), this new two-day Summer Institute seeks to provide foundational knowledge of implementation science and to build professional knowledge and skills for supporting change using implementation best practices.

INTENDED PARTICIPANTS

Social workers and public health professionals serving as agency leaders, directors, program managers, or program evaluators.

OBJECTIVES

The Institute will support social workers and public health professionals to:

  1. Identify challenges that can be addressed through effective implementation
  2. Support authentic engagement of communities and stakeholders
  3. Integrate data use to optimize performance of programs and practices
  4. Support the sustainability of interventions and approaches
