Toolkit: Overcoming Barriers to Implementation in Global Health
This month’s featured resource is a toolkit sponsored by the National Institutes of Health Fogarty International Center (FIC). This toolkit is designed for researchers, policymakers and program implementers working in low- and middle-income countries, though it offers a nice collection of resources for all who work in the field of implementation science. The toolkit includes several parts:
- Resources for Implementation Science Researchers
- Implementation Science Methodologies and Frameworks
- Participatory Research Models and Building Stakeholder Relationships
- Dissemination Strategies in Evidence-based Policy and Practice
The toolkit was developed by the Learning Collaborative for Implementation Science in Global Brain Disorders, hosted by the Center for Global Health Studies (FIC) and involving partners from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), the National Institute on Aging (NIA), the Society of Neuroscientists of Africa (SONA), and the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO).
