Request for Input from Implementation Research Stakeholders
The Johns Hopkins University, supported by the World Health Organization Special Program for Training and Research in Tropical Diseases (WHO TDR), is leading a project to systematically identify and develop core competencies for implementation research in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) focusing on infectious diseases of poverty. These core competencies will guide training of researchers and practitioners working within health systems in LMICs with emphasis on addressing infectious diseases of poverty through implementation of evidence-informed interventions and health systems strengthening strategies. The team is seeking inputs from key stakeholders involved in implementation research to validate an initial draft of the core competencies. To review the competencies, read more here.
