Registration is open for the Certificate in Knowledge Mobilization offered by the Community Engaged Scholarship Institute (CESI) in collaboration with Open Learning and Educational Support at the University of Guelph. Join other implementation professionals from all around the world to increase the societal impact of science.

The Program

The Certificate in Knowledge Mobilization builds capacity for the transformation of knowledge into action. Participants will learn to identify and address barriers to knowledge mobilization, transfer or exchange, and use tools and techniques to facilitate the development of evidence-informed policy and practice.

The program consists of three online courses which are offered annually:

  • Inform: Processes of knowledge translation and dissemination
  • Engage: Building capacity to understand and use relevant evidence
  • Act: Transforming knowledge into action

Course 3, Act, is scheduled to start next month, April 8 to June 2. Course 3 focuses on the final stage in the knowledge mobilization continuum, where evidence is transformed into decisions and practices at the system, organization, community and individual level.

Who should participate?

The certificate is targeted towards knowledge mobilization practitioners, researchers, policy-makers and service providers working in the social sciences, human services and health sectors. We also welcome graduate students interested in building research impact skills or planning to work in one of these fields.
