Implementation Science and Modelling Strategies: Experiences from NCI’s Cancer Intervention and Surveillance Modeling Network (CISNET)

Apr 16,2019 | Consortium_staff Webinars

Monday, April 29, 3:00-4:00pm ET

Join the next Advanced Topics in Implementation Science webinar hosted by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Division of Cancer Control & Population Sciences (DCCPS) Implementation Science Team.

Thanks to survey feedback, the Implementation Science team has noted a growing interest in how simulation models can advance the science of implementation. Last month, many joined in for the Fireside Chat on Implementation Science and Systems Science, now archived online. To complement that session, the April webinar will highlight work from CISNET, a consortium of NCI-sponsored investigators who use statistical modeling to improve our understanding of cancer control interventions in prevention, screening, and treatment and their effects on population trends in incidence and mortality. Dr. David Chambers will be joined by Dr. Eric ‘Rocky’ Feuer, Dr. Amy Trentham-Dietz, and Dr. Chin Hur for a brief overview of the CISNET consortium, and Drs. Trentham-Dietz and Hur will present case examples of how their cancer site modeling work addresses a range of implementation science topics, including de-implementation.

The session will include approximately 30 minutes of comments from our speakers and 30 minutes of engaged discussion and Q&A with the audience.
