Consortium of Universities for Global Health 11th Annual Conference
Date(s): April 18-20 Location: Washington, DC Register early by March 7.
The conference’s theme, “Global Health in a Time of Worldwide Political Change”, was selected to reflect the geopolitical shifts that are undermining the ability of the international community to address threats. This is a challenge that global health is ideally positioned to address. The interdisciplinary and international nature of the field captures the relationships, structures, and skills needed to face the complex threats to health.
The meeting’s six program tracks or subthemes, including translation and implementation science, frame the program in a way that will attract biomedical and non-biomedical disciplines across academia, NGOs, government and the private sector. There will be satellite sessions on April 17 on the latest research and activities that can be implemented in communities and countries all over the globe.
Being in Washington DC, organizers anticipate attracting a range of political leaders from around the world who would be interested in sharing their views and collaborating with the nearly 2000 people anticipated to be in attendance from over 50 countries.
