European Implementation Event 2020
Date(s): October 1-2, 2020 Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands Abstract submissions due by January 19. Early bird registration closes March 16.
“Crossing Borders – Changing Boundaries” is the motto of #EIE2020. At the EIE2020, Implementation – the translation, uptake and integration of research findings within the daily routines of human services – takes centre stage.
As an attendee, you will learn about latest, cutting-edge implementation science and practice; participate in inspiring and surprising discussions with international colleagues; expand your professional network; and be inspired by the diversity of this exciting discipline.
Who is it for?
The EIE2020 brings together individuals and organisations engaged in synthesising, translating, adopting and implementing evidence in human service practice and policy.
You may work in health, social welfare, education or other human service sectors; you may be a psychologist, social worker, occupational therapist, nurse, sociologist, economist or have a totally different educational background; researchers as well as practitioners, funders, organisational leaders, intermediaries and other roles are welcome at the event – as are those who are new to the field and those with extensive knowledge and experience.
The European Implementation Collaborative (EIC) aims to improve the life of children, youth, adults, and families in Europe through effective evidence-informed implementation of evidence-informed human services.
Our objectives are to:
- Promote greater awareness and understanding of implementation science and practice within and across European welfare and human service systems.
- Create an infrastructure for cross-European exchange of the ‘know what’, ‘know why’, and ‘know how’ of implementation practice and science.
- Identify and develop a common Europe-specific knowledge base and language on implementation in order to define the specific contextual factors of the European human service delivery systems that encompass implementation work in European countries.
Link the individuals and groups working in this area in Europe back to the growing global community of implementation science and practice and contribute a European perspective to the wider development of the field.
