Implementation Science Speaker Series – Understanding the Challenges of Implementing Practice Change
NC TraCS presents the next Implementation Science Speaker Series talk on Thursday, March 26 from 12:30-2:00pm EST at UNC in Chapel Hill, NC. Remote viewing for this event will also be available via WebEx.
Social-cognitive theories on behavior change, such as Theoretical Domains Framework, are widely used in implementation science. While social-cognitive theories offer insight into how people process information and consciously plan decisions, they do not address unconscious cognitive processes. They also do not fully account for many collective influences on individuals’ conscious and unconscious behavior.
Join Per Nilsen, PhD as he argues that these theories may be too narrowly focused to explain the wide range of challenges in implementing practice change.
