The Center invites applications for a new research faculty position in implementation and dissemination science at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. The non-tenure, academic appointment will be in the Department of Health Services, Policy & Practice.

Applicants must have a doctoral degree (PharmD, MD, or PhD) in implementation science or substantial field experience and/or training in implementation and dissemination science with disciplinary training in health services research, epidemiology, anthropology, behavioral health science, public health, nursing, rehabilitation science, pharmacy, social work, psychology, gerontology, political science, economics, or health informatics. One of top-flight research centers and institutes within the School of Public Health, the Center for Gerontology and Health Care Research is nationally renowned for health services research focusing on chronic illness and long-term care. The Center’s mission is to promote and improve health, health care and health-related quality of life for older and middle-aged persons with chronic disease through research. Collaborative opportunities extend across a successful array of research groups within the School of Public Health, across the University, and through local and regional partners. The Center houses an interventional research center, the Center for Long-Term Care Quality & Innovation, and many Center investigators hold joint appointments with the Providence Veterans Administration’s Center of Innovation in Long Term Services and Supports. Notably, the Center recently launched a major multi-site initiative to evaluate the most effective non-pharmacological options to help people with Alzheimer’s and Related Dementias, the NIA Imbedded Pragmatic AD/ADRD Clinical Trials (IMPACT) Collaboratory. Further implementation science opportunities exist through an active rehabilitation sciences health services research training program (LeaRRn).

The level of academic appointment will depend on the candidate’s experience, publications, and external funding record (or potential for Assistant rank). Applicants for the Associate or Full Professor level must have a national/international reputation in implementation science, an independently funded research program, and a proven record of leadership in research and professional service.
