The Center for Research to Advance Community Health (ReACH) at UT Health San Antonio invites applications for a postdoctoral research fellowship within the HRSA-funded Rural Telementoring Training Center (RTTC), a national center tasked with implementing and evaluating training for telementoring modalities.  This position provides fellows with opportunities to apply the implementation science knowledge base to research and evaluation projects within RTTC to improve the impact of telementoring modalities in rural settings and foster rapid integration of research, practice and policy. Individualized competency facilitation is achieved through project-based research activity, along with a curriculum of professional development to prepare for new roles and responsibilities. Key accomplishments include increasing competency in: manuscript writing and presentations, grant writing, and project management. Core training faculty include: Drs. Waridibo Allison, Charles Mathias, Erin Finley, Holly Lanham and, Joel Tsevat. Multiple-year appointments are available and dependent on satisfactory performance.

Position Requirements:

Applicants must have a doctoral degree (PharmD, MD, or PhD) in implementation science or substantial field experience and/or training in implementation and dissemination science with disciplinary training in health services research, epidemiology, anthropology,  behavioral health science, public health, nursing, rehabilitation science, pharmacy, social work, psychology, or health informatics. Candidates should have evidence of rigorous research training and experience and demonstrate capacity to secure external funding.
