Center for Innovations in Quality, Effectiveness and Safety (IQuESt) is a collaborative center of health services research between the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center and Baylor College of Medicine. IQuESt is seeking Senior Faculty in Health Services Research to join a grant-supported, multidisciplinary research team that is nationally recognized for work in patient safety, behavioral health, quality improvement, implementation science and population health. IQuESt values diversity; individuals from groups traditionally under-represented in health services research are encouraged to apply and contribute to our collegial environment and culture of learning and celebrating differences.

The applicant will be expected to contribute to the research areas of this multidisciplinary team and will be a full-time faculty member; appointment and salary commensurate with experience. Applicants with current federal funding preferred. If relevant, up to 25% of time could be used for clinical activities.

Qualifications

  • An MD or PhD is required
  • Must have a record of research in one or more of the relevant areas such as:
  • implementation science
  • health services/systems research
  • health economics
  • improvement science
  • informatics
  • patient safety improvement
  • Must be able to compete for external funding (i.e. NIH, VA, AHRQ)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident
