The University of Washington Department of Global Health, which bridges the Schools of Medicine and Public Health, is recruiting new faculty members for the following positions:

The Department of Global Health is seeking highly motivated, impact-driven, creative, and collaborative individuals to join their faculty. The Department of Global Health values and honors excellence in research, teaching, mentoring, practice and service in order to achieve their mission:

‘To improve health for all through research, education, training, and service; to understand and address the causes of disease and health inequities at multiple levels; and to collaborate with partners to develop and sustain locally-led, quality health systems, programs and policies.’

The Department of Global Health is particularly interested in continuing to expand faculty expertise, skills, and experience in one or more of the following content and/or methodological areas:

  • Priority Content Areas: climate change & health; global cardiovascular disease; global mental health; health systems strengthening; maternal, adolescent, child, & neonatal health; pandemic disease preparedness & response; infectious diseases, including HIV/STI prevention & care
  • Priority Methodological Areas: analysis of data for public health planning; implementation science; qualitative &/or mixed methods; randomized clinical trial design & implementation; technologies & tools for global health

The Department of Global Health sits within both the School of Public Health and the School of Medicine. Positions primarily appointed in each school must be posted separately. Applicants are welcome and encouraged to apply to all positions. Initial review begins in January 2022.
