Assistant/Associate Professor – Implementation Science, University of Kansas Medical Center, Wichita Department of Population Health

KU School of Medicine-Wichita is seeking an outstanding researcher to be part of a developing research program focused on advancing delivery of cutting edge, innovative child and adolescent mental health services across the spectrum of care from prevention to tertiary intervention. This research is supported by a strong collaboration between the departments of Pediatrics, Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, and Population Health. KU School of Medicine-Wichita is seeking a tenure track faculty to enhance interdisciplinary, pragmatic, health services research efforts in child and adolescent mental health. The vision for this shared position is to effectively integrate collaborative health services research and implementation science principles into an existing strong clinical programming in pediatric primary care and mental health services. They will be invited to collaborate with faculty from partner departments as part of a multidisciplinary team across the university. The position will also teach in the graduate programs in the department of Population Health, which include a PhD program in Health Policy and Management and fully accredited master’s programs in Public Health, Health Services Administration, and Clinical Research. There is also the potential for teaching faculty, residents, and students in the partnering clinical departments.
The department seeks applicants with a demonstrated track record of funded and published research, including interdisciplinary collaborations, in clinical translational work and/or health services research with a focus on behavioral health and psychiatric illness. This position will be a 12-month full-time, tenure track position at the assistant or associate professor level commensurate with experience.
Opportunities for clinical work in the departments of Pediatrics and/or Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences could be available should the candidate be interested in and qualified for clinical work.
