Senior Project Coordinator (Strong Star), UT Health San Antonio
This project coordinator position will be part of the South Texas Research Organizational Network Guiding Studies on Trauma and Resilience (STRONG STAR Consortium) at UT Health San Antonio. Under limited supervision, the project coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the completion of the project life-cycle, including preparing and maintaining project plans, budgets, and staffing requirements. The project coordinator will oversee project activities to include training, data management, statistical analysis, and budget preparation. The project coordinator may lead or mentor lower level team members.
The project coordinator will support a Department of Defense (DoD) funded research study titled Functional Restoration for Chronic Pain Management in Active Duty Military Personnel: An Effectiveness-Implementation Trial. The objectives of this project are to (1) evaluate the factors related to the successful implementation of the Functional Occupational Rehabilitation for Troops (FORT) functional restoration programs for chronic pain management at six Military Treatment Facilities located nationwide, and (2) to evaluate the effectiveness of the FORT programs in improving chronic pain management in active duty military personnel.
The project coordinator position will involve serving as the Implementation Facilitator for the FORT project. The project coordinator will be trained in implementation facilitation in year 1 through the VA Behavioral Health Quality Enhancement Research Initiative (QUERI) Implementation Facilitation Hub. The project coordinator will then serve as an Implementation Facilitator for the project for the remaining years.
