Implementation Science Navigation

The Implementation Science (IS) Navigation, a new website feature from the Implementation Science Coordination Initiative (ISCI) at Northwestern University, walks practitioners and researchers through practical strategies for improving clinical processes, patient outcomes and research design through implementation science. Practitioners will benefit from the IS Navigation curriculum as they will develop understanding of how partnerships and health equity are key foci of IS. Viewers can also dive into the self-paced curriculum, which takes roughly 20 hours to complete.

The IS Navigation for researchers is suited for those who are preparing a research proposal or plan to conduct a formal evaluation of HIV implementation efforts. ISCI has organized the components of an implementation research study and outlined expert guidance and action steps for each component, from defining “the THING to be implemented,” to selecting implementation strategies and measuring implementation success (outcomes).
