Research Assistant/Doctoral Student in Nursing Science, The University Department of Geriatric Medicine FELIX PLATTER (UAFP)

The University Department of Geriatric Medicine FELIX PLATTER (UAFP) in collaboration with the Institute of Nursing Science at the University of Basel (INS), invites applications for a research assistant/doctoral student to join the AdvantAGE research team. The overall goal of AdvantAGE is to develop and evaluate an advanced practice nurse-led interprofessional care model to improve transitions of older adults from hospital to home. The new care model will be implemented in the UAFP with a particular focus on the reduction of rehospitalizations after discharge.

The project comprises two phases: (1) the development of an interprofessional transitional care model, and (2) the implementation and evaluation of the new care model.

This position will primarily center on the second phase, which involves an implementation science study focusing on the concurrent evaluation of the new care model and implementation strategies. The study will employ a retrospective matched-cohort design along with a mixed-methods process evaluation.
