Post date: January 9, 2024
Letter of Intent due: February 6, 2024
Applications due: May 7, 2024
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) will fund projects that aim to implement patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research results obtained from PCORI-funded research in real-world practice settings and in selected cases, projects that focus on preparing for implementation of these findings or on the dissemination of these findings.
Applicants will have the opportunity to propose:
- Implementation Projects: Implementation Projects may have budgets up to $2.5 million in total direct costs and project durations of up to 48 months.
- Dissemination Projects: While this funding opportunity is designed primarily to support Implementation Projects, PCORI will consider supporting Dissemination Projects with the primary goal of spreading knowledge and awareness of evidence from PCORI-funded research and increasing targeted end users’ motivation and ability to use it. Dissemination Projects may have budgets of up to $300,000 in total costs and project durations of up to 36 months.
- Implementation Planning Projects (New for Cycle 1 2024): PCORI will also consider supporting Implementation Planning Projects through which PCORI-funded investigators will complete preparatory activities identified as necessary for successful future implementation efforts. The investigator must have a well-articulated implementation concept that describes how broad uptake of the identified evidence will occur and be able to describe how the work they will undertake in the Implementation Planning Project supports this comprehensive plan. Implementation Planning Projects may have budgets of up to $200,000 in total costs and project durations of up to 24 months.
